Welcome to the twentieth post. This should be a good update. I've got some real good ideas for stuff to talk about.

I should more than likely be working on my project right now. I'm in studio, afterall. I could leave, but that'd ruin the illusion me being productive. I think I'll just hang tight for the next 30 minutes or so until I can safely leave without recourse. I'm far enough along anyway.

It's my three year aniversary today with Abby. It feels like it's been so much longer than that but at the same time feels like we've just started dating. I'm so thankful that she and I are together. She makes me really happy. I wish more people could know what it's like to date someone like her.

Recently, studio has been somewhat relaxed. Not because we don't have projects or assignments, but because I've figured out how that I don't have to worry at all about getting vast amounts of work done. I'd prefer it not to be like this, but doing all the extra work in here doesn't mean a better grade, even if it's deserved.

It reminds of what I was thinking about yesterday, after I voted. I was thinking how some people say that they didn't vote because their vote doesn't count or matter. Decent arguments can be made to support this stance. I'm not sure whether or not my vote does matter in Kansas. I'd like to think it does, but I'm not sure. However, this doesn't change the simple fact that I did vote. I thought, "Even if this doesn't matter or won't count, I'm still going to do it." Studio has been kind of like that; knowing that what you're working on might just get shot down by the professor, but you still do it because it's what you've been told up to this point and it seems right. Yeah.

Thanks for stopping by the site. More updates soon.

Really awesome news this week. The Earthbound 2 (also known as Mother 3) translation patch was released this past Friday! The original Earthbound was a fantastic game as you may very well know, and this one is proving to be just good, if not an improvement. Initially, Mother 3 was only released in Japan and once word reached these shores that we'd never get our hands on it, a dedicated group of fans/translators/hackers/programmers started the two year long process of translating and hacking the game. They were led by Tomato/Mato and Jeffman with help from numerous others. You can check out more about it at mother3.fobby.net. Mato is also the co-founder of one of the largest fan sites around, which happens to be for the entire Earthbound series. Starmen.net is the other site.

When I haven't been playing M3, it's been mostly work and starting again today, class. Things aren't too rough right now, as they should be. Just some light reading is really all that there is to do with a few project deadlines approaching in about two weeks. Enrollment starts this week. I'm planning on taking a watercolor class this spring, in addition to a few other worthless classes.

This Friday may prove to be interesting. We're to go as a class to Manhattan for our next studio project. Seems a bit out of the way, right? I'm not sure how I feel about this whole traveling an hour and half just to see a swatch of prairie. Not to mention its in Manhattan (kidding).

That's it for now. I finally got the posts back to a reasonable two weeks instead of two months. It'd be nice to get into the two a week range for posts. That's asking a lot though. Til next time.

Three things, very quickly, then onto the story.

First off, I've been busy. Not so busy that I couldn't find the time to update, but busy enough that I had other things I wanted to do. Second, I had forgotten the small satisfaction in creating and working on this website. It's fairly entertaining in a strange way. Third, I'm going to try not to let it happen again. Afterall, I am paying for this wonderful creation of mine, and will be for quite some time I'm guessing. On to the post.

Last post was August 13th, two days before I moved back to school, and now it is October 5th. Almost one quarter of the school year is gone. Classes have been busy at times, but are sometimes enjoyable, yet prove to be a waste time at still other times. This coming week is a busy one. Sitting here on the futon I can't help but think I'm completely screwed. I have eleven hours of work ahead of me over the next two days, and have a major project due on each of them. I also have a test and need to somehow find time to work on a group project. I'm not sure it can be done.

Speaking of work, I got a job at Dunn Bros. Coffee about a month ago. It's been going great. Good people, good managers, good environment. Only thing is my weekends seem to be over more quickly than before. My weeks are becoming more and more what my weekends used to be. Deal with it, I suppose.

Abby got a scooter. It's pretty fun to ride around on, and seems to get places quicker than driving. That's probably just a delusion though. Running errands is usually easier. I've been looking into real Vespas but they are ridiculously expensive. You're talking about $4500-$5000 for a vintage when all is said and done. A new one is about $2750 after everything. I thought for a while that I was going to save up for one, but I don't think so anymore. If I had something that nice I'd just worry about it; not to mention the maintenance and extra attention I'd have to give to it. Maybe someday.

I'm rooming with Nick and Jordan again this year. We also picked up Cory, in lieu of Zach moving back in with his other roommates for a year. It's been good so far. I keep remembering how this is suppose to be my junior year of college, but that I've still got three more years, after this one. All of my roommates will have degrees next year. It's strange to think about. I feel older than I should, but am constantly reminded of how young I really am. At least I get to enroll before everyone else.

I think that about does it for this post. Thanks for sticking around, loyal readers. I promise more frequent updates in the future. This is first post with the site completely up and running. That doesn't really mean much though, since it's been up and running for a good three months.
